Using recycled antifreeze save your shop money and conserves natural resources. Only about 12% of antifreeze is recycled in the U.S. To recycle antifreeze, contaminants must first be removed. Chemical additives are then added. Antifreeze can be recycled onsite, by a mobile recycling service vendor, or offsite at a regional recycling facility. ASTM standards for recycled antifreeze has addressed concerns over the use of recycled product.
