@jocking3 There is none in the netherlands either.
-
@nogocologne Well, that sucks major.
-
@ronaldrobin Fuckin' hypocrites. In America you can just walk around in nazi uniform and nazi banners.... Same as in WW2 games, where the swastika is replaced by crosses.... It's not the same. Swastika's now!
-
why ban the swastika on old planes like this and in public these are planes that made history an killed many allied pilots
-
Oh, and the Me262 above is #2 of the new-build examples. It can be converted between a single-place cockpit to a dual-place cockpit by changing a few parts.
-
Tischler and his team at the Texas Airplane Factory did much of the work and reverse-engineering with the original Navy Me262 pattern aircraft from 1993 to 1997. There was a dispute between Tischler's company and the project sponsor, Classic Fighter Industries, so CFI took over the project and completed the 5 new examples in Seattle and returned the restored original to the Navy. The work is done and all aircraft have been sold.

@jocking3 There is absolutely no freedom of speech in Germany. A paradox in a supposedly first world country, but not because of the german people, but because of the jews who rule nowadays the world.
-
Herb Tischler tried to construct 6 Me-262. What happend with them?
-
Correct, modern engines, although this is one of five new-build examples and not a restored original. As to the second question, no, but an original is under restoration for flight with upgraded original engines. Whether this project will succeed is unknown.
-
I was made to understand that the engines in this restored ME-262 are not the origional ones. They are modern jet engines that were installed to make the plane both legal to fly and safer. I wonder are there any ME-262's left that are operational with all the origional parts intact.
To see these classic planes without the swastika on the tail-fin to me seems wrong. These planes made history. Should we hide history because some people feel that a symbol is bad. No, the war is over it ended 60 years ago Europe today is a close community lets keep it close and work together as friends and partners

@ronaldrobin
showing swastika in public is forbidden by law in germany. You can even get sued just by whistling the melody of the "Horst Wessel Song"....
nogocologne 4 months ago
@nogocologne That means that there is no real freedom of speech in germany.

@jocking3
no there is not. It is "simulation" of free speech.

@nogocologne
What if someone is Hindu, they can't display the swatzika either under German Law??
agumon12 1 month ago
@agumon12
strictly speaking Hindus are allowed to show/wear the swastika but ONLY in context of a religious gathering/celebration.
On the other side a coin dealer who wants to sell coins from 3rd Reich era is not allowed to show the coins in public...
