Anyone who thinks of Satan as evil should consider all the men, women, children, and animals who have died because it was "God's will". Certainly a person grieving the untimely loss of a loved one whould much rather have their loved one with them than in God's hands !! -- I am a satanist.

Well said, I believe that the whole salvation by faith means we are not saved by law but by our relationship with God.
Through Jesus we are able to have a close one on one relationship with him. It's not the law therefore that saves us but the blood of Jesus and his subsequent resurrection.
The law however exists not to put us under some kind of restrictive control but rather to give us freedom and peace under God's diving wisdom and order.

1Jo 2:4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

James calls God's law a "law of liberty," or freedom, when he says that "he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does" (James 1:25). True freedom cannot come apart from, but must come from harmony with, God's commandments. As Christ asks in Luke 6:46, "why do you call Me 'Lord, Lord,' and do not do the things which I say?"
