Jesus said, "Whoever therefore breaks one of the least of these commandments, and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever does and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven." (Matthew 5:19).

What did Jesus mean by this? What exactly is the law of God? Can we be saved by the law? If not, then what did Jesus mean by what he said in Matthew 5:19? If we are saved by faith alone, then are we not under grace, rather than under the law? Are Christians still to use the Law of God? What purpose does the law serve?

Many professing Christians think they are on the way to heaven regardless of how they live their lives. Since we all sin everyday, then does it matter what the law says? If that is true, then why did Jesus call those who break the law and teach others to do so the least in the kingdom of heaven?

We have outstanding Deaf teachers who will teach you what the Bible says about the Law of God and the Christian.

  • HELLO to ALL, I was Christian, that won't work for me ~ Years later, somehow I went to BUDDHA and wow learning alot about INNER SOURCES that what bible says... ~ Please double careful read the BIBLE, smilee...

  • Our God banned to worship any gods before Him. you worship Buddha.

  • Well said, I believe that the whole salvation by faith means we are not saved by law but by our relationship with God.

Through Jesus we are able to have a close one on one relationship with him. It's not the law therefore that saves us but the blood of Jesus and his subsequent resurrection.

The law however exists not to put us under some kind of restrictive control but rather to give us freedom and peace under God's diving wisdom and order.

  • 1Jo 2:4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

  • James calls God's law a "law of liberty," or freedom, when he says that "he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does" (James 1:25). True freedom cannot come apart from, but must come from harmony with, God's commandments. As Christ asks in Luke 6:46, "why do you call Me 'Lord, Lord,' and do not do the things which I say?"

  • 1Jo 2:4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

  • Anyone who thinks of Satan as evil should consider all the men, women, children, and animals who have died because it was "God's will". Certainly a person grieving the untimely loss of a loved one whould much rather have their loved one with them than in God's hands !! -- I am a satanist.
