This video was the result of a group project by University of Washington and Waseda University students for a class about Japan's Changing Generations during Winter Quarter 2009. Interviews were conducted with Japanese and American students (from UW and Waseda U) to see if the election of Barack Obama as the first multiracial president had changed the way they thought about race, ethnicity and identity, and to also hear their thoughts about what race relations in Japan and the USA will be like in the future. btw lived in seattle in 2004 for a year but i was unlucky and made friends with an O.C bigot he slipped in the N word every chance he could and living near the U.W area i couldnt relate with your suburban minorities but it wasnt that bad. i met some cool cats in the downtown area didnt matter which pantone. But yea its a different story now. If I was to go back to washington state I wouldnt know what to expect.
