This is a short film clip of pictures taken during the tornado warning issued in Lorain Ohio. These pictures were taken shortly after 2 pm on August 20, 2009. These may be the same supercells that hit the Toronto Area and the city of Vaughan in Canada. We lost power for a short time only. Several trees and powerlines were blown down throughout the county. The final shots are from the memorable susnset afterwards.

  • I remember it perfectly, I even got a few shots of it too. It was a rather bad day out that day.

  • I remember this happening, and the news said that there was a funnel cloud right over my house in Sheffield Lake, and i thought "IM GONNA DIE!"

  • I must be blind?? I saw nothing out of the ordinary. I saw no funnel clould or wall cloud. It was just a normal Lorain storm. Is it possible you were seeing things that were not really there? Am I the only one on here that doesn't see anything. There were a few low hanging cloud but nothing that looked tornadic in nature. However, some decent photos anyway.

  • i remember that day it hit vermillion just as hard i went in the back yard and sall the swirlling motion in the clouds i knew it was going to hit soon cuz it was forming
