i think its a great idea. being able to give extra bass to an already "pretty darn awesome" sounding factory setup. giving extra depth to you sound is pretty much why people upgrade their laptop sound system to an external setup, but you can't exactly take it away on holidays with you, listen to it whilst working at your desk. this way your using the factory sound system as "tweeters" and then adding this to give you your bass/mid tones. I have heard this setup, and was very impressed.
@MacMike1000 Well a metal case with a speaker inside and mesh on the top does look good but its just too somple because i can get a full pc speaker system with two 2' speakers and a 5' subwoofer for the same price. It IS apple so it has to seamlessly work and look good but i guess its apple motto to sell good stuff at crazy prices. you get what you pay for but theres more practical options
@paintballgundown8 They are well with my $59.95 make my MacBook Pro and Apple LED display sound alot BETTER. I actually like to listen the the Apple stock speakers now since I have this BassJump. $15 is what you say they are worth, you must be a lowballer person. The design are beautiful and the package are very Apple like.
cool but overpriced and takes up one of my usb ports, I think this companies products are neat but nothing neat should cost over 15 bucks wich in reality is what they are worth
