Odds and ends computer graphics from the 80s - Produced with Targa Tips software and Sony 3/4 U-Matic VTR. A less violent version of the Studebakers Live intro was broadcast on Myrtle Beach TV and cable.
I created an account just so I could comment on this one video. Having lived in Myrtle Beach at the time I remember how funny it was to see the Studebaker knock down Dianne Devaugh-Stokes....its STILL funny. Why would anyone in their right mind remove it? The techniques were ground breaking for the time and the comedy was timeless. I'm still waiting to see "Short Attention Span Theater" posted.
Having worked with Steve on some of this stuff, it's important to keep it intact. We were the only ones doing computer animation around here in the Myrtle Beach area (including the 3 markets closest to us -- Charleston, Wilmington and Florence) in those days, working with with the PC-based Targa system and the Commodore Amiga. So I agree it's historic, but hey ... the "skit" was just slapstick, no big deal.
This is a great video, which would be improved immensely if you removed the first 14 seconds which is so creepy the video is much better without it.
Also, can you provide a reliable date? These videos are actually historically important since info of these packages is extremely scarce, so the upload is most appreciated, I would like to see that first skit removed though... it detracts from it terribly. Thanks.
