  • I Own this movie too, back when Val Kilmer was such a doll! Love this film & the music!

  • @callmebaz Okay I have this movie and almost 300 others from the 80's and I know 100% Tom Hanks is nowhere in this film. First off Tom Hanks was born in 1956. This movie was made in 1985 that would make Tom in his Late 20's almost 30's. Not on adult jumped into the Popcorn during this scene. Also Tom Hanks was playing in two different films in 1985 Volunteers and The Man with one red shoe. I can say I have never seen those and have Seen real Genius at least 100 times Literally.

  • ATTENTION TOM HANKS FOUND!!!!!!!! He is at the end of the film (popcorn scene) he is the one in the white roll neck jumper!! He is NOT at the tea party.

  • at the end the song sounds a bit fast pitch i like this version

  • I was wriing a review of Kilmer's latest flick released straight to DVD and looking for answers as to why I was so uncomfortable after watching "The Traveler." This video was a breakthrough! THAT's my B-Movie Val Kilmer... not the 50 year old Ice Man I just watched turn into Gary Busey for all the world to see, forever... on film.

  • @fizban333 Sorry, my leap. Everyone thinks that the frizzy-haired guy whom Mitch bumps is Hanks; it ain't. I will look at the party background again for Tom.

  • @krelllabs So you're calling Mr. Hanks a liar? I'll pass it on!

  • @fizban333 That is NOT Hanks

  • @Helldorado72 Well, some will say it's not him but, an interview I saw with Tom Hanks, and several websites, say it's him. It's not a hard stretch either since the director writer of Real Genius also wrote and directed Hanks in Bachelor Party .. and he's also a real life friend who helped get Tom Hanks truly famous. Anyway, the scene is where Mitch backs up and bumps into someone (Hanks) at the freshman tea party (early in the movie) .

  • @fizban333 Where? I poured through this movie over the years and never caught it....
