  • was your dog a rescue dog? They usually take a while to settle into new homes..

  • no not a rescue dog, but she had been to and from homes and the breeders a couple of times, which gave her insecurities. shes fine now tho, wouldnt do this to me now. she'd more likely to laugh about it if i took her bone lol

  • didn't really sound like growling.....coudl be though :P

  • it was a "don't disturb me" growl as opposed to a "i'm gunna eat you" growl

  • by messed around with do you mean abused?,got one thing to say about anyone who would abuse or misstreat any animal, they should be beaten within an inch of their lives with barbed wire then allowed a couple of days to heal up a bit and have done to them again to be sure they learned a lesson!!

  • noo not abused. messed around mentally, having 2 owners before us all within the first 8months of her life kinda made her have trust issues to start with, such as accepting whos part of 'the pack,' that kind of thing.

  • She is like "Daddy im im in the middel of somethin..." Come here "CAN YOU WAIT!" lol she is so pretty

  • @animalobssessor9 haha yeah i love these dogs, i have a husky puppy chewing on my shoe laces right now. my second husky :D

  • *Not slapping you, I meant in that last comment by grabbing you by the wrist or ankle for around 5 seconds and then letting go. This is a northern breed's method of telling you that they're annoyed and should not be confused with "biting" similar to how captive wolves hit people when irritated. Of course, a second hit may become a bite if you don't try to stop whatever's upsetting them. Mals and Huskies rather hit than growl as a warning. srry 4 writing too much I just hate confusing ppl

  • @commerceskate

Actually, Malamutes and Huskies rarely use growls and intimidation as warning signs. Most would just pick up the bone, chew toy, etc and run away. They're very smart dogs that know how to avoid conflicts! I've dealt with an Alusky a lot so based on experience, if annoyed the dog would bark as the first warning sign and if that does not work, they'll proceed to hit* you!

  • What a sexy beast. Im getting this dog for sure. You bitches wanna know why? Ok I'll tell you. I was in front of the pet food store and I saw that there were malamutes so we went and I have decided to get it as my dog. I petted it a bunch and I fucking wanted it. My dad had one when he was my age and his name was Jack so guess what name Im giving it?

  • Do you see that smile? Haha and the way the one turns into a question.. Haha she's playing.

  • Wow.....I bet when Chewbacca takes a shit it sounds like this.

  • Cutey.

  • @karbeans2004 meh, its cool, no one touched his except when you were filling it and there were no worries, again wolf territorial, no ones breaking him out of that! lol

  • That's to bad I have 2 15 month old Malamutes. We worked with them from the day we got them and now anyone can reach down and take or cover up there food and they do nothing. All dogs need to be trained right when they are young to avoid that.
