I took a recipe I found on the Food Network and made it my own. They are super tasty and even have a bit of a kick to them.

Ingredients

* 2 ounces olive oil
* 4 tablespoons diced red onion
* 2 tablespoons diced black olives
* 4 tablespoons diced red bell peppers
* 1 diced jalapeno (de-seeded)
* 3 cloves diced garlic
* 2 diced artichoke hearts
* 1/3 can black beans, drained
* 3/4 can chickpeas, drained
* 1/3 can white beans, drained
* 1 cup rolled oats
* 1 teaspoon paprika
* 1 teaspoon chili powder
* 1 tablespoon dried oregano
* 2 tablespoon minced fresh parsley leaves
* 1 teaspoon red chili flakes
* 1 teaspoon ground cumin
* 1 teaspoon celery salt
* 1/2 teaspoon ground sage
* 1/4 cup seasoned bread crumbs
* 1 egg

Directions

In a medium saute pan over medium heat, add 1-ounce olive oil and all raw vegetables except beans. Saute until translucent. Remove and cool.

Add veggies to beans and mix thoroughly. Add all dry ingredients along with the egg. Thoroughly mix all ingredients and form into 4 patties, cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes.

In saute pan add 1-ounce olive oil, and cook patties 2 to 3 minutes per side.

  • @smartharry123 yes we do! Vegans don't eat eggs .

  • awesome... its just what i was looking for..!! thanx !!

  • i like your commentary... its funny

  • vegetarians dont eat eggs

  • oh ok i understand now, thank you

  • vegetarians eat eggs, drink milk, cheese all of that. Vegans do not eat animal product whatsoever. So this burger works for vegetarians, not vegans.

  • dont get me wrong, i loveed the video and found it very informative since i love finding out different ways to cook, but doesnt the egg kind of destroy the concept of a "veggie" burger?

  • this is the best veggie patty i have ever seen, i will give this a try and let you know it works out

  • hmmmmmmm I gotta try these sans the black olives
