Featuring the late "Singin'" Steve Sanders and Dewey Dorough on saxophone. Essentially, this song was a duet between Dewey and Steve, as Dewey also played on the album cut. Originally released in 1988 on their "Monongahela" album, this performance is from their 1992 PBS Special with Emmylou Harris.

  • whew!! awesome video...love those Steve Sanders songs...his smoky baritone was incredible...Every time I hear his voice I miss him so much...love ya Oaks!!

  • Great singer, the harmony was much different compared to what William Lee brought tho. Harmony much more powerful with William Lee blending on baritone.

  • I have met Joe, and Steve. Both are upstanding gentlemen. RIP Steve. Hang in there Joey.

  • great singer .

  • I was listenening to Steve when was "Little Steve Sanders" back in the 60's However, I was Greatly Sorrowful when I heard Steve Killed himself, This was before we got an understanding of Bi-Polar Disorder. But rest assured Friends, he is in Heaven, if as I believe he made that CRUCIAL spiritual Transaction w/GOD by ACCEPTING JESUS" When we ALL stand at "The Judgement Seat of Christ" See First Corinthians Ch. 3 V. 11-15

  • I'm soooo sorry....Steve was ok in my book....I just don't play the cards right sometimes. Mr. Bonsall, I'm sorry!

  • haha no the group was around long before and after steve

  • Jeff..you need to be run off youtube just like you were run off the oaks board! You know nothing of what you are spouting. those of us who actually have met and spent time with these guys instead of being sadly envious of them know exactly what you're full of. Sad really!
