He talks a lot and he speaks well.....but he doesn't really say anything. How strange that the reality TV star as a character has not evolved one bit. He's actually kind of dopey.

@ramboram03 Wait, is this really 1973? I agree, he's dressed in 1980 style clothing. WAAAYYYY ahead of his time. Damn.
-
he was such a hero A true hero. If it wasn't for him going on public television openly gay we wouldn't have such a diverse community!!!

I went to school with Lance. He was a really sweet young man. RIP my friend.
-
When I watch him in clips he really reminds me of a person with Bipolar disorder. He bounces from thing to thing.

The kid was brilliant.

Lance was gorgeous! The early 70's were still a bit psychedelic, and I don't mean peace & love. There was still a great majority of American men who rejected women's rights, gay rights, civil rights, etc. Good for you Lance. You were proud of being gay & held your own. I'm glad to have been an 80's girl where the new romantic girls looked like boys & the boys looked like girls.

It was a very dark time in the USA. I knew him via a friend of a friend and you had to be there to understand the period.
-
Do you know what year this is from??

I think I just found Lady Gaga's inspiration
Lance was fabulous, fruity, witty, and a trailblazer. He had a touch of antic nihilism. Barely over 20 here, he must also be considered a wunderkind. Too bad about the tone of some of the comments here. Forty years has done little to dispel the finger-pointing and taunting that a queer sensibility provokes.

Lance was truly amazing. He had more personality than anyone else I can think of today. What a joyous soul. I wish I had known him.
