"Folsense" is the name of a town that is completely delict, but nobody noticed, because it was full of hallucinatory gas, until prof layton discovered it.
"Folsense" is actually a word play, because you pronounce it like "False Sense", you see? "False sense" due to the hallucinatory gas.

Actually if you look at the name closely, and consider the ending to the game. The name does have some meaning.
