http://playpoi.com We brought physiotherapist Jamie Dunnett into the studio to talk about the ways to make sure your skill toy practice is good for you. We use poi as the example toy, but the information can be applied to staff, juggling, diablo, etc.

Playpoi offers instructional and artistic videos, poi workshops and events, gear reviews, and community resources that get you out playing poi. We even have a poi map of the world! Come visit: http://playpoi.com/community and sign up for our newsletter.

  • 3 years ago I got carpal tunnels. My physiotherapist told me it was probably caused by poi-spinning (she knew nothing about poi, I should have brought them) and NOT my job as a barista where I spent most of my day making espresso-shots in repetitive motions. I had to quit my job and poi. 2 years later carpal tunnels was still a problem, but I HAD to spin poi again. I have spun poi every day for a year now, and the carpal tunnels? Long gone... poi = health!
