"CHECKERS AND POGO" was aired by KGMB-TV,a CBS affiliate in Hawaii
from 1967 to 1982. most of these people are no longer with us,,but the
memories they left the younger TV viewers with,are Golden! of all the
memorable charecters in the show,was "Superspy of Pigstyvania" and
"Sylvester"-played by Jerry Cox(AKA "KimChee")and of course,Jim
Demerest and Morgan White,as C and P! the cartoons of course,,were
the best-everything from "SPEED RACER","PRICESS KNIGHT"and
"THE BANANA SPLITS"-Thanks!

WOW, in 1973 I won the "Trip to the Big Island" on Checkers and Pogo show.. The Day we got to the Big Island..Kilauea Erupted..Dam it was awesome! I have some slides of the trip, i'll try to make a u-tube video.. I lived in Hawaii 1970-1974, Iroquois Point Elem. School ..

Wow! I can't believe they were around that long. I used to watch them after getting home from Aliamanu Elementary school back in the 60's. I did love their show.

I haven't thought of this show in YEARS. I was such a fan, and was saddend to hear of Pogo's passing.

I lived in Hawaii from 1969 to 1974 and used to watch this everyday after school on our first colored television. I remember their adventures - there was one series where they were traveling in a big blimp and their enemy was (Secret Spy??). When he wore that nylon stocking over his head and prowl around I would have nightmares. Then there was that commercial for that "Exchange" drink and they always had this contest where people would build things out of the cans.
