The chemists at my uni once made a gun cotton snowman for their annual Christmas lecture. About 1.5 m tall and hollow. Made like you would make a papier-mâché sculpture, with the wet material shaped around toy balloons that were removed once it was dry. The thing was quite impressive when set off in a lecture theater. *g*
