@notenglishandproud I think if you came south you'd realise that probably the majority of the english agree with scottish independence.
I think you'll find that "your" north sea oil and gas was known about from the 1970's onwards. I suppose thats the cunning english tricking you out of "your" oil 300 years earlier so you wouldnt suspect our cunning.

@gug1970 It would be only fair to mention that the so called 'benefits' from england are most likely paid for by the North Sea Oil revenues...which were so disgracefully claimed from the Scots that discovered it, by an english Thatcher government...and of course buried from the public under shouts of "union, union" as a pish excuse for englands pigfaced greed and oppression it is so famous for WORLDWIDE. face it..... england - pooooooofs.

Yes, with your help and the grace of god, these poor downtrodden scotsmen (who now run the uk, get free healthcare and university education paid for by the english (who dont also enjoy these benefits) will somehow manage to drag themselves up out of the mire where they have apparently been languishing and resentful for only THREE HUNDRED YEARS after the events that so badly affected them.
I think you might find that many of them have luckily managed to "move on" without your help though.
