@cochranexyz I think it might have been bad luck. That grade crossing looked pretty steep, perhaps the trailer of that semi got hung up on it as it was crossing.

They need to change the rules...
There's no point in throwing the train into emergency when it's impossible to stop in time.
Emergency braking brings with it the risk of derailment.
Why ?
Just schmuck the truck and stop without increasing the risk.
