Is posing in Blender really that easy, I mean when you moved its antenna? In Maya you would have to place joints skin the damn thing and then you would be able to pose. I'm a Maya user but as a hobbiest at home I would like to use Blender. So can anyone tell me, how are the modeling tools in Blender compared to the Maya ones

das einzige, was mich stört, ist die nadel. du hast so ein realistisches insekt geblendert und es tut weh, wenn du es erstichst. lass es fliegen!
.....wahnsinns leistung!... die übernächste stufe mag ich mir erst garnicht mehr vor zustellen. ....tollll!!!!und erschreckend!!!

and you are absolutely right, today i would use a mirror-modifier for that kind of stuff. actually, this is pretty bad modeling and a terrible topology.... but (i think) i have learned! ;-)
my other timelapses (wasp and fly for example) are a bit better in that respect (hopefully).
