In memory of Pinky 2/23/09

Pinky was a special cat I had picked out when I was younger and he lived a sheltered and pampered life (until his final days) and even though he passed away he will always hold a place in my heart. I made this video after he had passed away to honor his memory... He was carelessly let out by my roommate late one night and I desperately tried to find him for days on end with little to no sleep. I did everything in my power to find him. The last flier I put up on the next block ( a feeling he was over there) led me to him when I received a call from a sweet woman who had been trying to rescue him. He had been seeking shelter there but could not save him in time. When she brought him in finally she knew something was terribly wrong since she worked with animals before and rescues animals all the time. I ended up meeting her at the ER . She tried to save him while I was desperately trying to get there but by that time they had brought him back 3 times and there was no hope. (I know in my heart that he knew somehow I was there even if he was not conscious) but he had internal wounds (puncture to his lungs) and could not breathe on his own and could not be saved. I said goodbye to my dear baby there.. IF you take the time to watch this, thank you, and even though it maybe sad, know he is at peace. He never deserved such a horrible ending and it still breaks my heart knowing he suffered because of another's carelessness. My roommate never even once helped me look for him. After I burried him on the following day at my families land in Windsor, Missouri, a dear friend moved me out that weekend.
