  • Do you have to use the light dry malt ?

  • @dhustwick Hi, I used light dry malt extract to improve the body and flavour. I'm not a big fan of using dextrose on it's own.

  • Nice carbonation and colour! What about bottle (or keg) priming? How much did you add a sugar/malt?

  • @fxone10 Hi, Here is the recipe I used - 1.7kg Coopers European Lager Kit + 500gm Dextrose + 250gm DME + 250gm Maltodextrin + 15gm Hallertau Hop teabag - steeped for 15mins in 500mls boiling water and then added to barrel to make up 23 Litres. Fermented for 17 days then bottled with 6gms sugar for priming. Coopers recommend you condition in the bottles for 12 weeks. The beer is now 9 weeks old and tastes a lot better than when I made this video. Thanks for your interest. Cheers
