Overripe berries a perennial problem? Store them, unwashed and with their caps still on, in an uncovered colander in the fridge. This lets cold air circulate around them, preventing mold. Neat-o!

a tip: put strawberries in a freezer and let them freeze. unfreeze them when ever you want to eat them. when thei are freezed the can last ages...
