@Zeitgeist8080 ...Peer is merely a metaphor...the idea is to say that scientist and sufi speak the same knowledge, the former always leave the credit hanging and later acknowledges on pure observation..for example the martial art master who break the iron rod by human hands is peer in himself.

By ennobling scientists he means to say that the level of knowledge of science in a society can reflect the level of spirituality. And yet again, in the concluding episodes, the Super-Peer disqualifies science as the panacea, thereby replacing it by a death-wish as the ultimate signifier of knowledge. Clearly enough, he can't help seeing human existence as a drama itself, that is driven to death by the very desire to mingle with death, a succession of images guttered by nihilism.

There is a problem with the basic idea that Ashfaq Ahmad bases his drama on. He assumes secrecy of the Peer in advance, thereby stipulating that a person must search for him. Upon successful search the searcher is conferred upon a seal or a stamp that refers to a certain status in spirituality. Ashfaq Ahmad thus introduces a compulsory bottle-neck: a necessary absence of a knowledge-society, in order for the existence of Peer to justify. In next episodes he qualifies scientists as Peers.
