    1. This is EXPERIMENTAL jazz. Squeaks = experimental noise.

    2. Do you listen to any other jazz? The squeaks are quite common, and they are often intentional.

    3. These jazz musicians practice for hours and hours every day all day, and they get ONE take in the studio.

Think before criticizing. If it's not your style, that's cool, but don't say anything if you don't know what you're talking about.

  • I can't believe that decades after Coltrane, etc., people are still thinking that squeaks are mistakes, LOL.

  • I'd love to know when and where this was recorded and who was in the band at that time.

  • Maybe they are when they aren't intentional. Here, they're intentional. I like squeeks with my notes, it's all sound.

  • diggin this!

  • Nice one really more of this please

  • @Gennatural whatever dude

  • @munruthel1 experimental or not, its no excuse that he sounds like a beginner. And I actually dont see what's so experimental about it.

    I like it though :)

  • @Gennatural there's a reason it's called experimental

  • the squeaks are a pisser, nice video

  • I agree, the saxophonist just sounds like a beginner, whether he practices a lot or not...
