Definition of 'Terrorism' keeps expanding

The 'domestic' definition of 'terrorism' has just expanded exponentially.
Headline: Ecoterror Link Eyed in Wash. Fires. via AP. What was once called arson, is now labeled as domestic terrorism. Soon, public demonstrations will also be labelled as such, because they pose a potential threat to 'public' safety + national security.

Im no physiologist, but I fear the less representative our government becomes, the more such out lashes we will see as more citizens become frustrated. Im quite sure the government is aware of this, hence the legislation to contain it.

I just hope things don't have to get worse before the get better.

I agree. Peaceful, non-violent, and legal protest is the only way to proceed.

By engaging in criminal acts as a form of protest, your message is lost right along with your credibility.

With such loose terms defining terrorist, that message is more important now more than it has ever been.

And yes, Im sure we are all on some list by now.

Terrorism has always been a somewhat empty title anyway seeing as anyone can apply it to anyone.

i saw that story. to be fair they DID commit arson but yeah, the trick is once you call them "terrorists" you can hold them without charges, waterboard them, i presume, i mean, whatever they're doing in guantanamo and in the black sites. i expect terms like "ecoterrorist" to be used on fox news but to see it in the post is scary, because it's an extra-judicial, extra-constitutional term, once you get called that you dont have any rights. it's like being labeled an untermensch.
