(Part 1 of 2) A report on how ex-servicemen and women have been systematically neglected by the MOD since a programme of hospital closures was instigated in the early 1990's. Also shows a demonstration at Trafalgar Square in London on 20 January 2007 by veterans demanding better care from the government. Interviews with General Sir Mike Jackson, Chief of General Staff until late 2006, and Derek Twigg MP, Under-Secretary of State for Defence and Minister for Veterans - probably the most grey and underwhelming minister since Stephen Byers (for whom he used to work). although the US has excellent veterans hospitals, all soldiers need more after they leave those hospitals.

It may be just a job to some, HOWEVER, its unfair. I remember when men from the Vietnam War came home and nothing for them either. I hate the USA and UK government. The Queen has her damdable states dinners and pomp, but her countries soldiers come home WITH NEEDS that are not met. People serve their country for what? a cold steel medal? why doesnt the Queen serve them a dinner at Windsor? once a year
