Excellent review. Thanks!

Got the IR version from B&H. Got the more expensive Kipon adapter ring on Amazon and it needed no filing down- the lens worked right out of the box. One thing on the GH2 though- until you press record, the image appears soft. Once record is pressed everything snaps into focus. Love this little lens! Great video.

@tai530 No the sensor is too large on those cameras and they don't have any ETC mode so they will vignette. GH2 only pretty much unless something else comes out.

got this lens also, based on your review.. great cheap wide low light lens for the gh2.. If you need wide low light and only have a few bucks this is a great lens. A bit harder to use being cctv, but gets the jobs done quite well.

@Ebacherville Yep...really nothing comparable in existence other than other CCTV lenses...so makes sense regardless of your budget/needs

@1edrakel I believe I used Rainbow Imaging, but they're all the same for the most part.

Great Video--How would you enlarge a plastic c mount for the tamron lens

@1edrakel Not sure what you mean, is the adapter plastic? I'd still file it down and luckily you should have an easier time perhaps, just don't get a heavy lens (the 4-12 is light)
