Laser rangefinders are very powerful tools for the long-range shooter. The one in this video is the Bushnell Yardage Pro 450. It is a "budget" model, but serves me well. There are much fancier models from Bushnell, as well as Leica, Leupold, Nikon, and others.
Here is a full list of Equipment for this video:

The Camera Mount I used to record through the scope can be found here:

The slow-motion camera I use to film the shots through the scope is the Casio EX-FC150. That camera is no longer made, but you can buy its successor (which is actually a better camera than the one I use) here:

The Exact same Hawke Scope that I use in this video (Sidewinder TAC 30 6.5-20x) can be found here:

Starlings are invasive cavity dwellers who damage crops and kick native birds out of their nests. 99% carry fleas and mites and can transfer disease to livestock They are considered pests. It's legal and encouraged to shoot them in my state of Kentucky. He is not killing for fun he is eradicating a disgusting pest in the most humane manner possible while teaching others how to shoot well.

We have it really bad here in our barns in Missouri. My neighbor who has a very large and old barn gave me five bucks a bird for a week.

That's pest control, with Starlings. It's the same thing as setting a rat trap. And that's coming from a vegetarian, haha.

are you walking up to them afterwards to look if they are dead or not?
they may be a pest but it would be sadistic to just leave them there, possibly in pain for hours until they die.
