"Ruby and the Rockits" Season Premiere - Tuesday, July 21st 8:30 PM ET

It's been 35 years since David sang and charmed his way into our hearts each week on a TV show called the Partridge Family. David's career has come full circle since then and over the years we watched as he played to sold-out crowds all over the world, breaking attendance records at the biggest venues everywhere.

We watched him become a serious actor, eventually starring on Broadway and major Las Vegas productions. The last few years we've again had the pleasure of seeing him live in concert but we all still miss seeing his handsome face gazing back at us from our TV screens each week, just as he did all those years ago. Well, David Cassidy Fans, our wait is over - David is coming back to TV!

David's new TV series, "Ruby & the Rockits" will air on ABC Family for the first time on Tuesday, July 21st 8:30 PM ET - and we couldn't be more excited!

*** PHONE CALL FROM DAVID & MEDIA COVERAGE ***

Ruby and the Rockits Season Premiere Party with the Most Attendees Will Receive Media Coverage and a Phone Call from David!

David Cassidy Fans all over the country are gearing up for the big event by throwing "Ruby and the Rockits" Season Premiere Parties of their own! David got wind of this and will place a phone call to the party with the most in attendance! Party hosts must use http://www.evite.com/ to send out their invitations and those planning to attend must also confirm their attendance via evite.com no later than MIDNIGHT on SUNDAY NIGHT, July 19, 2009, so that we have enough time to advise the media where the biggest party will be held.

Whoever has the most CONFIRMED responses back as of MIDNIGHT on Sunday night, July 19, 2009, will receive a PHONE CALL FROM DAVID and MEDIA COVERAGE OF THEIR EVENT!! This does not mean that everyone you invite should confirm their attendance, ONLY THOSE WHO REALLY WILL ATTEND should confirm. If the media arrives at your party and discovers that there are only 5 people at a party that is supposed to have 50 guests in attendance, they will notify us immediately and David will phone the runner up party.

All participants must e-mail their name, address of where the party is being held and provide a working telephone number plus an alternate (cell phone, etc.) in case the first number is busy at the time David calls to: info@DavidCassidy.com. By participating, you are agreeing and giving your permission to appear on television. Good Luck!

  • I'd probably get laughed at for saying this in public, but many of the Partridge Family songs were really good.

  • I loved this song in Life on Mars U.S.

  • That said- you have to give credit to the songwriters/musicians and promoters that essentially 'made' this non-existent band into something the public believed was a real band.

look up his interviews. He's very honest about all the girls he 'used', and how he pretty much considers himself on par with all-time great bands, even though he isn't even a musician/songwriter himself.

  • Please- everyone knows that David Cassidy was a jerk back then, and is still a jerk now. Now he's just an old, balding jerk. He didn't write or play any of that music, even though 50 years later, people think he did.

  • @bailinnumberguy I’m not laughing, I think you are correct. The music holds up well after 40 years.

Lets see if people will be listening to Lady Ga Ga tunes in 2052.

  • @bailinnumberguy Nah, you won't get laughed at except by anyone who doesn't know the history of the Partridge Family and the songwriters. There was an amazing group of songwriters who wrote all of the music for the series. If you have any of the series on dvd look at the extras behind the making of the music and you'll see how much went into all of the music. Yes, it was great and amazing and I still love the music to this day!

  • this is my favorite Partridge Family song and I still remember the episode. Laurie Prange played the runaway, Maggie! Times were so much simpler then! I was only a young child then but now tv is so screwed up, with shows where housewives fight and people get drunk for amusement, geez!!! Point me, in the direction of a simpler time!!!

  • I have always loved this song---if i had any shame (which I don't) i guess the Partridge's would be my guilty pleasure---although I have always considered them a pleasure.

  • point meeee, in the direction of ALBUQUERQUE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I love this song, and always will, think some times, we all feel lost!!!!!!!

  • this reminds me of my home in albuquerque, l live in virginia but albuquerque will always be my home...thanks for this video...awesome...always a david cassidy fan
