Sie haben absolut Recht! Besser kann man es gar nicht ausdrücken! Vielen Dank für Ihre Interesse- es ist wirklich sehr schön, ein Kommentar auch aus Deutschland zu bekommen. Ich glaube, hierzulande ist Philippe noch etwas zu wenig anerkannt, was ich als sehr Schade empfinde.

Ok with the teacher for French artsong...But for example,a bass who would try to sing so clearly, with the "poor" vowels of the French language (listen instead to Russian or American natural harmonics sounds in spoken language) would just ruin all the art of chiaroscuro and mix of the registers.

Oh my God, that should be a great suffering for him! His movements are incredibile and with his hands he plays violin during singing! I do the same! Of course he cannot sing in other way than fabulous, he IS perfect! :)

Ah, but he can!

Last June, when a breeze came up during the Salamanca concert (it was outdoors), the instrumentalists fixed their scores to the stands with clothespins. PhJ gripped his score to the music stand with both hands, and continued to sing superbly. Conclusion: temporary immobility of the forelimbs does not alter vocal qualities! :)

She must be very proud of him...sometimes their voices sound simillar...She had to teach him from the very first time, hadn´t she? And, he cannot hold on singing without his hands....:)
