a disk drive system would cost about £150 it seems, so a bit out my league sadly.

Tut tut, using your Sinclair Quantum Leap for games, it was a machine intended for "Business applications" only! ;-) I must say I'd always wondered what the huge chunk of case to the side of the keyboard was for when I'd seen QLs in pictures, now I know it it holds the microdrives.

If a microdrive cassette works one minute and not the next, then it is working exactly as it was designed to :-)

@ForViewingOnly And you too. They are a pain in the arse tho. A perfect example of old Clive's quality control i am afraid. He might be our 8bit hero, but he really did deserve to go out of business.
