@foncleaa Mon francais est trop pauvre. Je doit repondre en anglais. Personal, does not mean seeking only inner inspiration, with no other influences. You look within, and without. Great artists sought inspiration from each other. Routhier composed the poem, and commissioned Lavalle to set it to music. His vast knowledge would have led him to hear prosaic equalities between the poem and Mozarts' march. He did, however. make it his own heartfelt, and personal tribute. Thank your for your insight.

@shmoker2010 sorry but it's a lack of inspiration. You should have asked for a local musician to compose your Anthem.

@EternalDarkness316 For your info: written 26 years before the English version. O Canada!
Terre de nos aïeux,
Ton front est ceint de fleurons glorieux.
Car ton bras sait porter l'épée,
Il sait porter la croix.
Ton histoire est une épopée,
Des plus brillants exploits.
Et ta valeur, de foi trempée,
Protégera nos foyers et nos droits.
Protégera nos foyers et nos droits.

@shmoker2010 The composer of O Canada, Calixa Lavalee, was an opera conductor who knew this music well.

for anyone wondering O Canada! Our home and native land
True patriot love in all thy sons command.
With glowing hearts we see thee rise
The true north, strong and free
From far and wide, O Canada
We stand on guard for thee.
God keep our land glorious and free
O Canada! We stand on guard for thee
O Canada! We stand on guard for thee.
you're welcome lol

Beautiful. Good feeling and understanding, Karajan. Almost as harmonic as Colin Davis' version.

A bit more tempo, Mr HVK - otherwise - splendid!

Wow, you can really hear the influence this had on the composer of Canada's National Anthem.
