@joey143anna What about the Iranun. They are relations of the Maranao, yet are spread throughout Borneo. The Sultanates of Maguindanao, Lanao, Suluk, Melaka, Jawa and Brunei were all brothers in Islam long ago, and they supported each other over the non-Muslim/Hindu-Buddhist Rajahs. There was no historical divide between them until the Spanish, Portuguese, British and Dutch carved the whole Malay archipelago up into the different countries we see today.

HISTORY: there were 2 sort of tribes from the philippines, THE BANGSAMORO AND THE BANGSA Suluk, the bangsamoro were fierce tribes WHO kill or possible exterminate a tribe or community they encounter, on the other hand the BANGSAsuluk, they were under the sultanate of sulu(who was an arabian) and ready to defend and fight for the preservation of the monarchy.
