Rebound (Part 1)

Rebound is the story of a boy, Edward, dealing with the break-up from his lying, cheating ex-girlfriend who broke his heart and left him in a state of severe depression. After nine months living as a shell of his former self, he meets a new girl, Sophie, who tries to turn his life around.

Rebound is the first film I have made in well over a year, the last being Dirge of the Dead which was finished in mid-July 2008. The story is heavily influenced by events in my own life as well as people I have known in my life. The film itself aims to be a comedy/drama, in the same vain as something like Skins, with a lot of dark comedy. A lot of the comedy in the film comes from my own self parody.

The opening song is "She Moves in Her Own Way" by the Kooks. The second song used (during Edward's depressing sequence) is an arrangement of "Beautiful Morning With You" by the Pillows, used in the anime FLCL :)
