Several hundred students at one high school in Queens, New York, have been showing similar cold symptoms, and almost 50 have come down with the flu. The school has been closed for disinfection, classes will resume on May 4. Lets take a look.
Students at Saint Francis Preparatory School in Flushing, Queens have been through quite an ordeal recently, after around 100 came down with severe flu symptoms. The school has since confirmed around 60 cases of swine flu.

[Christina Lopez, Student]:
I think I got it on Wednesday. And I felt it on Thursday. It took about 72 hours to fully get out of my system.

Christina is almost fully recovered but says the experience was like a nightmare.

[Christina Lopez, Student]:
The first thing I felt was a fever. A fever right. And I went to the nurses office and there was like 20 people there. But by themselves. And its a little odd. So I asked the nurse to take my temperature. It was 101 fever. So I went home and then my friend told me the same day that 80 people went home, about 80. 80-100 people went home just that day. And it was really weird. Then on Friday about 100 more people went home too. And it was really bad. It was like. It spread so quickly.

Michael Rango was another student who was hit by the disease.

[Michael Rango, Student]:
It was just a really hectic experience. Everybody was getting sick. There were at least hundreds around the nurses office. And people were just getting fever. And it was a really bad experience.

He was concerned he may have contracted the swine flu, which has been sweeping the globe. [Screen shot of disease page/footage from report we ran last week at an airport or people wearing masks].

[Michael Rango, Student]:
I went to the hospital to get checked if I had it. And I was fine, so right now I am taking extreme precautions. I am washing my hands constantly and everything.

Christina has some advice to stop the flu from spreading.

[Christina Lopez, Student]:
If you cough or you sneeze, cover your mouth. Definitely cover your mouth. You dont want to try to infect anybody, because it is pretty serious, you do get really sick. If you have it stay home.

Christina and Rango say they will feel more confident to return to school on Monday after the school has been disinfected.
