NPR President and CEO Vivian Schiller discusses her transition from television and newspaper to public radio.
Ms. Schiller visited Rochester in October. Schiller, who became NPR's top executive in January 2009, previously served as general manager of NYTimes.com. Before that, she led the Discovery Times cable channel and CNN's documentary division. So she's new to radio -- but not to news. WXXI News Director Julie Philipp talked with Schiller about making the transition to NPR during a very challenging time for news organizations around the world. Here are some highlights from their discussion in the Radio Talk Studio at WXXI.

Just pure natural unadulterated Ugliness. It her natural haloween gift. You could hang a coat on her nose adn that big wobbly messy mouth and no cheek-bones ... that ugly personality she has match her looks. she is so sloppy and incompetent a person with her comments.
