After almost a year, the overall response on Aion forums+fansites has been negative. There have been massive "server merges" due to a severe lack of players, resulting in only 5-6 US servers remaining (one can only imagine what happened to all the people who had similar names).
PvE-wise the game has nothing amazing to offer. In desperation, Aion is resorting to shit like Veteran Rewards rewarding you stuff for every extra month you add to your game time.
Just enjoy Aion while it lasts.

Purchasing Aion soon as I'm bored of WoWs easy mode. Got a trial inv and tried it out, quite impressed so far. PvP looks amazing and the ranking system kinda reminds me of Classic WoW.
