@vsalva Damn im writing alott but i remember when i didn't know much & all i had were questions. Well i hope that can help you out in getting your first guitar, If you have anymore questions just let me know. oHHh & make sure you purchase the pick up for the neck placement.

@vsalva Personally i prefer the humbucker it's a sweeter tone for bachata. But the pickup isn't what gives the guitar it's unique sound. Which is what i thought when i knew nothing about guitars. The pickup amplifies the sound & allows you to use pedals which give the special sound. When you get your pick up put in purchase a Boss super chorus it's the perfect begginers pedal or if you have the $ to blow buy a Boss gt-10 which is what most pro's use or An Ibanez pt4 I'd prefer that bro!

@vsalva That's a yamaha apx-6 if im not mistaken. Bascically any yamaha apx electric-acoustic is perfect for bachata, some model's are just more popular than other's & some give diffrent sound because of the wood they're made of. & Yes the Yamaha apx-900 is perfect. That pick up is most likely a gibson humbucker or burstbucker. I have both.. one in each of my guitar's. Theres not alott of diffrence between them, The burst is a lil more bright while the humbuckr is more mellow.
