I dont know if this is what the song means, but this is my perspective on it :

When we dont know God, we have already lost. Hence the words I wish we all could win. I wish we all could smile - I think it means that theres no greater joy then being in the presence of the Lord. Without God, we are nothing, we are here, he created us, like it or not, and we should be thankful, and not give up. SOMEDAY YOULL COME AROUND. Someday we will all learn.

I can't find the part of the song that is religious... just a bunch about "wishing we all could win" and wishing to be happy, and wishing to make our families proud of us. The other lyrics are more philosophical and don't exactly have to be religious imo... Although the band is extremely Christian, so I guess this song must be about religion somehow.
