like this, its great learning licks, its great learning scales, the ideal way would be to learn everything so it is under your fingers (in this way of learning)
and as for you mr. thruthaxeorwhatthefuckyourname
is the lick isnt locked in this position, noone is stopping you from moving it the the key of c or perhaps g? something I think is important to do is to transpose the licks you learn to other shapes (based around the diffrent chordshapes (mainly the three) ) -

The good thing about blues riffs is that they are so versatile. This would go well over blues, RnB, Rock and Roll, Blues-Rock, and hard rock Hard Rock. You got to know the blues to know Rock n Roll.
