The US trade-ships were helping the tyrant Napolean take over the World.
The US Colonial-Regime was expanding into American lands, territory. The Natives were only fighting to defend their lands from US invasion & occupation, deportation.
The US started the war, They declared war and invaded Canada and started to help Napolean take over the War. The US was forced into peace-treaty they failed everything. Napolean was defeated 1815 at Waterloo = British Victory.

1: your merchant ship were helping Napoleon
2: Some Canadians demonize you because you mock us all the time
3. Mounties against the US Marine Corps, well no kidding the Mounties are a police force. An equal comparison would be the Canadian JTF2.
This is not a hate comment, I like the US, my best friend was born in the US.

What you mean to say that the British attacked US merchant ships, that is terrible it's not even as if the US did the same thing 30 years ago or something.
(Note my sarcasm.)

If the Canada of today is anything like the Canada of the past, after the first marine steps foot on Canadian soil, you'd have 4 million Canadians volunteer to kick their asses out...and we are excellent marksmen.

Man you should learn how to take a joke. Considering the amount of BS about Canada that comes from American media, we were pretty nice about our portrayal of the US. And (mostly) everyone here is aware these were the feuds of our fathers, maybe you should try and remember that too.

"The US was forced into peace-treaty they failed everything"
oh boy...you just went full retard.
The British lost their allies at Thames in a decisive American victory...the 3rd party around whom the war was revolving around was taken out.
By 1814, the Americans were denying the British their rights to uti possedetis.
Waterloo was an Anglo Prussian victory...totally irrelevant to the War of 1812.

People always forget that if the British won the war the midwestern United States would be an Indian buffer state. The goal of the British in the war of 1812 was to halt American western expansion and if you've ever been to California you'd know that it miserably failed. It really annoys me when people forget about the Battle of new Orleans and Plattsburg. They where major defeats that kept the British from actually winning.
