  • i wish the nxt motor wasnt so acward to attach to stuff. great transmission

  • Thanks! and yeah. I would prefer the RCX motor over all. :)

  • dude thats awesome. is it smooth?

  • it is very smooth, but because of how it is, it lacks torque to be anygood. so it snaps gears

  • dude thats awesome...is it smooth?

  • Thanks! i dont know for sure though, but at this moment i have been working a a gear reduced transmission, so the differential isnt under so much pressure!

  • an aluminum lego gear?!?!?! wow! if u do that i've gotta c it! i subscribed so i won't miss it if you do! bet a lot of ppl want 2 see it done and working! good luck if you try it!

  • yes you are definetly right! but i am working on a compact and custom differential for my next design! so i dont have to use these thinner weaker gears i can use the thicker bigger ones. or my dad recomemded making an alluminum cast out of them.

  • i used 2 love gearing stuff up, but yeah, lego gears are great for complicated gear trains/ engines/ prototyping, but once you've crammed it into a large & heavy vehicle/ robot, its hard not to try to really push it and risk wrecking a gear; though lego gears are so tough - i've yet to totally wreck one!

  • thanks! and yes this already snapped 2 of my gears. but is i make differential gear with 4 gears it would work.
