I just so happened to be recording when the fuel truck drove behind us. It doesn't look too close because of the camera angle, but it was only about 25 or 30 feet at most from the aircraft. The lines in quotations are what I am saying to the pilot. Everything else if just blabber. Enjoy.

  • so...did your wingwalkers not see the truck, or what? aren't they supposed to be watching out for these kinds of things?

  • @mikeymike1968 No, my wing walker saw the truck, but the truck driver obviously saw neither the wing walker, nor the massive airplane that was pushing back.

  • What do you mean you "saved 175 lives"? If you had hit that truck, It would had been your fault. Yeah, he was wrong, but you were ultimately in control of the push, that's company policy. You did what you were SUPPOSED to do; before rampers took over the pushbacks at United, you guys would do exactly what that moron did, do you remember? You need retraining, because removing the gear pin with the bar between the nose tires is a no-no, your co-worker could have been injured. But you know that..

  • @JulioRocksYouToo Whoa, pal. Slow the hate train. Firstly, I'm not in charge of when the wing walker pulls the pins, that's up to him. There is no "go ahead and take the pins out" hand signal. Second, by your comment referring to rampers as "you morons," I'm going to go ahead and assume you're some bitter mechanic. So I'll tell you straight: The last pushback accident I recall is when a MECHANIC pushed a 757 into a CRJ. And lastly, the "saving 175 lives" was a touch of sarcasm. Grow up.

  • What gear are you pushing in? I push the airbus at DEN for F9.. nice save btw.. i gotta push vid on my profile tpo

  • @playj2 We push in 3rd.

  • @SkyWestCRJPilot No it's just a joke. :) Of course the pushback tug only has brakes, but reversers and spoilers would be pretty cool too.

  • the 757 isnt that big...

btw did the pilot give the finger? That would have been funny!

  • Your subtitles really made the vid. Loved it mate :D

  • It would be the same feeling in a car. I remember b4 ramp took over r&d a mx pushing a 319 hit a loaded 67 at lax. That was funny after it happend no one was hurt I think it was a wing tip

  • Julio your a idiot, all aircraft have right of way on a airfield, regardless if the jet is under tow or not, when the becan is on everyone yields, if that truck hit the

Jet it would have been the fuel trucks fault, u can remove the bypass pin prior to disco if the nose gear is straight but it's a no no at F9.

If a emergency stop is preformed like in this video, depending on how hard he stopped you can feel it in the cabin, you prolly would have felt it on this push... Nice work push driver

  • When the tug stops hard like that what is the sensation inside the aircraft? can the passengers sense the sudden / julting stop?

  • Why Can't some of the crew understand the importance of their jobs? They don't realize how important it is and how one mishap can lead to a tragedy.
