Finding You 1.05

STORY// After a while, Brooke and Dean make-up. Witnessed to her misfortune, by Sid, who becomes upset and goes to Lucas for comfort; but makes a detour to her house to rid of evidence of Dean being in her life. However Lucas throws questions at her about where shes been and if Dean has been in contact with her. She answers his questions and comments on the fact he needs to stop freaking out on her. She begins to leave but Lucas apologies and admits he's done her wrong once, out of spite, Sid tells him she loves him. Overjoyed he declares his love to her and then they 'make-up'.

A day after, at Sid's house, Lucas surprises her in the morning with a proposal to marry him and be together forever. Sid takes a moment to think about it, but ultimately says yes, thinking she'll just have to make this work. Lucas catches a glimpse of someone leaving Sid's room at the doorway.

This someone happens to be Dean, rushing from Sid's room and down the hall furious at himself. He bumps into Sam unexpectedly and immediately tells him about Lucas and Sid just being engaged, furious himself, Sam asks how it happens. Dean admits he didn't fight for her after she ended the affair.

Sid admires her ring thoughtfully, before coming open about the engagement to former best friend Brooke, and friend Haley. They are both stunned, knowing Sid really doesn't love Lucas as much as he loves her, but congratulate her anyways.

Somewhere an anonymous man (Strait) answers his phone, but tries to insist now is not the time. However Sid continues to talk, referring to him as someone she knows. They have a quick conversation where Sid tells him something that surprises him and worries him. He agrees to come out and see her before hanging up more flustered and worried than ever.

Haley decides to throw Lucas and Sid a small engagement party, to which Dean shows up, having known Haley and Nathan before they were married. She is surprised, but curious to what might happen. Dean is curious himself when he notices a kid that looks ultimately familiar.

Haley tells Lucas he made the right decision. Lucas answers by telling her to make sure Dean knows that clearly. Dean nearby, over hears some of the conversation and mutters. Haley hesitantly agrees, before looking over to see Sid looking at her.
