  • I am starting to handload my mosin revolver, are there any ways to crimp the 7.62 or should I stick to .32 s&w long?

  • @EmanGtown - I don't know. You might want to look into some of the online forums. The information is only as good as the opinions being given. (also sorry for a delay in a response but we have been way behind in so many projects).

  • You fire form your brass and use just a neck sizing die? How is you accurancy with a fire formed rifle case that is fire formed to your chamber? And is that a lyman ideal 55 powder dispenser? oh, and any problems using the lee collet neck sizing die? Thanks for the video!

  • @pleal1

I have eliminated just about all Lee dies but do still have a few neck sizing dies. The theory is less brass reworking, less fatigue. The only cals I would ever attempt this in are bolt actions. Neck sizing alone does not seem to improve accuracy but the theory is it should. That is assuming non-fire-formed brass doesnt align in the rife as well. Flip side is what if you fire-formed on a hot day w/hot chamber will it fit in deer season everytime?

  • Thanks for the info. I'm getting a Dillon 650 so I can get things done a little faster. I doubt if I could spend the time with the method your using due to my job ect. It's hard enough to make time to go out and put some rounds down range as it is.

  • I do rifle only (I have the dies to do a few revolver and pistol cals too but they are still pretty cheap to buy in the box vs hand loading).

  • OK NICE VID. my problem is that my glock will not except my 40 S&W . not all at least.. my lee pro. 1000" yes yes i know" does not do a good job of making my brass stay resized. after i resize and neck it i crimp it and it goes to crappola!or it does not fit on in my glock. anyway is there something i can do.. also i need to know how much crimp i can put on it and when it becomes dangerouse. i have squashed a couple of cases. also how much OAL difference is ok ? book just says 1.115 for 40 S&W

  • @pleal1 holy cow do what, I just started

  • Yes - when needed. may I refer you to the case care videos (I only get 10 minutes per, something has to hit the editor's floor).
