  • Wait.. the date on that video was June, 2005.. and they were talking about how they were remembering the tsunami back in december 2005.. how is that possible? I'm a bit confused.. that would make this June 2006 right?

  • The tsunami in the indian ocean was in December 2004, making this June 2005.

  • OMFG i live in crescent city i swear

  • so do i, that's why i uploaded this

  • I like how when they say "Controlled panic erupted in Crescent City, California" the map on screen cuts off at Trinidad (south of Crescent City).

  • The horn of an ACA Allertor is in the last shot.

  • Wonder what it is about CC that makes it such a target for tsunamis.

  • I remeber that day all to well. I was driving when I heard the siren and KCRE did the emergancy buzz on the radio and said a tsunami was comming in less than 10 minutes. I raced home to get my son on Gainard and drove to the gas station on Northcrest because I was on empty. All ATM machines were shut down and they only took a few customers with cash before closing. I always have a little cash in my car now incase of an emergancy and never drive with less than a quarter tank. lol

  • I live in cc add me if u do to

  • that was such a weird day, and its one of last memories from when I lived their, it didn't feel like most earthquakes but seemed like it last a really long time, scary stuff but I'd still take the quakes and waves any day over living in Ohio : / I can't wait to go back!

  • "never heard no warning"

are you from fucking alabama? its a disgrace what americans do to the english language.

  • Yeah I live in CC but I never heard no warning on that day - this city is NOT ready for a Tsunami at all...We were in town working didn't even know about the warning untll everything was already over...

  • Hah it suckedd... I live in crescent city and nothing happend. It was such a waste of time

  • dude i remember that warning cuz i live hear but me and my fam didnt leave we wernt woried we just stayed at home lol

  • Yes, there was a horrible tsunami in March, 1964. We live in Crescent City, across from South Beach, in an RV park, That day on June 15, 2005, was one that I will never forget. When you live in an area like this, you have to have a plan. Have emergency supplies, meds together. I have a portable police scanner that I take along to hear reports from our local agencies, on the state of the emergency, and when it is safe to return home. The local radio station made a mistake and said it was clear.

  • Im from Eureka, but happened to be there that day. It was all chill when the earthquake happened, but then the sirens and everybody RAN for their lives, literally. All I could think about was the tsunami in asia and couldn't believe it was our turn. I have family who survived the 64 tsunami so we know to take warnings seriously.
