@maccavel187 Indeed. No not at all they are completely independent. Dubstep is more of a child of Dub that went out into the world and made a name for its self if that simplifies it for the fans in question. :)

@ZR0SuM I know this, althought its roots are more in 2-step garage. Just because its derived from dub doesn't mean they're the same genre though, does it?

@euana7x This is true but Dubstep has evolved so much now that most of it doesnt sound as much or at all "Dub" as the older original Dubstep does so most modern listeners cant tell that it splintered off from Dub once upon a time.

@GOOB3000 You truly are a moron. This is dubstep, and dub isn't dubstep. Dub is a completely separate genre, a subgenre of reggae in fact.
