Tribute to John Atkinson Grimshaw
(1836 -- 1893) was a Victorian-era painter, born in Leeds, England.
Grimshaw's primary influence was the Pre-Raphaelites.
True to the Pre-Raphaelite style, he put forth landscapes of accurate color and lighting,and vivid detail.

Perfect music for this slideshow.I could stare at his work for hours.The music combined with Grimshaws work....they fit so well together. Sepia....not just as a color but as a feeling.

I AM AMAZED HOW I HAVE NEVER HEARD OF THIS ARTIST,BEAUTIFUL PAINTINGS AND SUCH DETAIL AND ATMOSPHERIC SCENES.IVE ALWAYS BEEN SO INTERESTED IN ART AND HAVE DABBLED WITH IT OVER THE YEARS,THIS HAS INSPIRED ME TO'' HAVE ANOTHER GO'THANKYOU SO MUCH FOR SHARING THIS WITH US,AND THE MUSIC IS JUST THE RIGHT MOOD.
