Award winning? Guy, he couldn't even get a job in journalism, which is why he was driving a taxi the night in question.

Sorry, txfaith, but he killed Faulkner. If he didn't, he would have denied it by now, dontcha think?

He chose to work as a journalist for the Black Panthers. That was something that was important to him, so he went with it instead of a better paying job with another form of media. The taxi job was taken up so he could continue to write what he wanted and still make ends meet.
Also, when it is a police officer murdered, the trial is rarely unbiased. Generally as soon as a suspect is named, they are immediately chastised by the media and public, to the point that proving innocence is very hard.

he is not a political prisoner. He is a convicted killer. From all of these posts I frequent in the last year ,I don't quite understand how much simpler it could be to see this guy was tried and convicted a number of times witht he same result. These half assed conspiracy issues are a pathetic waste of keystrokes.

The only reason jamal is in the bleeding heart limelight is because he is in prison, not because what he represents. He was a bright young man in his youth but made a bad decision to get involved with something he should have stayed clear of.
