Released on the 1963 album, "Let Me Sing". Joni James had a big hit with this song in 1958, and it was written in 1934 by Benny Davis and Abner Silver.

Thanks very much for the information regarding this song, now I can update my description. It's very strange but I have found that many of my favorite songs were written by Benny Davis, from the '20's up to the '60's. I'd love to see a complete list of the songs he wrote to find out how many others of my favorites that he wrote which I didn't know about.

Benny Davis collaborated with so many others - including Benny Goodman. There are a multitude of songs with which he is connected, such as,"Margie", "Carolina Moon", "Mary Lou","Baby Face", and "With These Hands".

There is a song -not by him, of course - which has the words: "Heaven save us from Benny Davis". I suppose this alludes to prolific output.

there are several of Brenda's songs on YTube that you can't download with MP3. I went to Amazon and looked thru all her songs available to download but this one, her version of Everly's Let It Be Me, Alone With You, Heart In Hand, I Still Miss Someone, Think... before you leave me. None of these are listed.

I agree this is a nice song and great version of it. The melody was written by my grandfather's cousin, Abner Silver, a rather unsung Tin Pan Alley songwriter, though almost every name singer have sung his songs, from Al Jolson to Elvis Presley.
